MENT, 2026

It’s now become something of a tradition: yesterday, at the Fachforum, we managed to organise not one, not two, but three events in collaboration with the Goldener Spatz and the STUDIOPARK KinderMedienZentrum.

💬 Speed networking: 14 rounds, 3 minutes

We kicked off with our MEET & MATCH, this time in the form of an intensive one-to-one speed-dating session with other editors, authors and other children’s media professionals. After 14 quick rounds, there was an opportunity in the “marketplace” to chat with representatives from MDR Media, ARD, ZDF, HABA, Super RTL, KiKA and STUDIOPARK KinderMedienZentrum.

💡MENT MasterClass: Child Protection on Set

Our participants gained fascinating insights into the topics of intimacy and child protection on set during the MENT MasterClass “When the First Kiss is a Film Kiss”. Screenwriter and director Joya Thome, intimacy and stunt coordinator Florian Federl, and actress, acting coach and systemic coach Heike Thiem shared their perspectives on the increasingly pressing questions regarding boundaries and responsibility.

🍹What makes the media hub so strong

At the after-hours networking event “Gezwitscher im Grünen”, the focus was on exchanging ideas, having a laugh and networking – together with industry representatives, up-and-coming talent and politicians. Our Managing Director, Tamara Kollmeder, spoke with Media Minister Stefan Gruhner and André Naumann, Managing Director of Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, about the future of Thuringia and Central Germany as a media hub. The focus was on the visibility of regional productions, the role of Thuringia as a hub for children’s media, and the question of how attractive and reliable prospects can be created for filmmakers. Everyone agreed that the region’s most important resource is the people who shape it.

Many thanks to Elisabeth Wenk & Johanna Faltinat for the great collaboration, as well as to all partners, participants and the fantastic organising team!
