MENT stands for a diverse, independent, and sustainable media system. Our position paper outlines what we stand for.
To further exploit Thuringia's potential, targeted investments in innovative markets, formats, and talent are needed, and above all, decisive action on the part of politicians. Our media policy position paper (published in February 2025) therefore identifies seven areas of action with respective demands for the Thuringian state government, which we, as the industry association Mediennetzwerk Thüringen e.V. (MENT), have developed with our more than 350 members.

Through a wide range of events, information, and projects, MENT promotes cross-media collaborations and connects stakeholders throughout Thuringia. The network sees the state's diversity as a strength and relies on collaboration to advance innovative ideas. MENT gives the media location a face and a voice by representing the interests of the media industry in business, politics, and society, thus contributing to the region's growth.
