What does it actually take to make young people want to stay here? More culture? More opportunities? A stronger sense of community? Or simply the feeling of being truly seen? 🤔

These were precisely the questions at the heart of our MENTogether event, held in partnership with Stay in Thüringen/Stay in Gera, German Dream and SPS Gera at the COMMA Clubzentrum in Gera.

Around 40 participants from Gera and the surrounding area attended, sharing their ideas, feedback and hopes for the region.

Roundtable discussion: From politics to youth

💬 Five tables focused on the topics of politics & participation, media & communication, culture & identity, youth, and economy & innovation. The roundtable discussions and the subsequent panel and audience discussion made it clear: Gen Z has constructive ideas for a Thuringia worth living in – and also recognises where progress has already been made.

We will, of course, take these insights on board in our future work and discussions.
