MENT, 2025
When the German film and television industry comes together in Weimar, MENT is of course a must-attend event! As part of its industry days, the TeleVisionale film and series festival invites guests to exciting panels, keynotes and discussion formats on current developments in the moving image industry.
Weimar shows what it can do
The event kicked off with a focus on the local media landscape. At ‘Weimar Introduces Itself’, representatives from 15 Weimar-based companies, initiatives and festivals presented their work and projects. Tamara moderated the programme, guiding the audience through an impressive panorama of creativity and committed media professionals in a city that, despite having only around 66,000 inhabitants, is home to an astonishingly diverse and vibrant film scene.
☕ MENT Impulse Café: exchange, inspiration and new contacts
Immediately afterwards, our MENT Impulse Café opened its doors – and once again became a place for informal exchange, new contacts and inspiring impulses. With a total of 34 thought-provoking questions such as ‘What developments in the German or European film and series industry give you hope right now?’ or ‘If your professional career were a genre, what would it be?’, the format provided a playful framework for conversation. Changing discussion rounds quickly gave rise to numerous new encounters and perspectives.
Many thanks to everyone who attended and made this afternoon so special!
TeleVisionale 2026 will take place from 23 to 27 November.
